A nationally syndicated radio talk show host is speaking out on the shooting death of Tarika Wilson.
Warren Ballentine is heard nationally from 10am to 1pm daily on Newstalk WCHB 1200 am.
Today Ballentine aired his show from Lima's UAW hall.
Ballentine calls himself 'the People's Attorney'. He has his law degree from Ohio Northern, which means that he has spent time in Lima.
He said on his show today Wilson's death was not a tragedy, it was murder. He says he's a 'truth fighter' and if there is no justice in Lima, there will be no peace.
Among Ballentine’s guest today were Tarika Wilson's mother Darla Jennings and NAACP local president Jason Upthegrove.
His last call of the day was the Reverend Al Sharpton who says he'll come to Lima.
Ballentine says 'pressure will bust a pipe, it's time to bust a pipe in Lima'. He says he'll put the national spotlight on the city.
On sale at today's show were shirts and sweatshirts that said, "Stop Police Brutality, Justice for Tarika Wilson in Lima, Ohio".
